Picture I.D.

I have been wondering lately why it is wrong to require a picture I.D. for someone to vote in a federal election, such as the presidential election?  To me it seems that it is nothing more than a way to reduce the number of fraudulent votes that happen.  There are some that feel that the number of votes that are fraudulent  are very low, but I think that any vote that is cast illegally is one too many.  The big thing we hear lately on requiring voter I.D. is in some way disenfranchising minority voters, or is in some way limiting their right to vote.  This is far from the case, so let me explain my take on this.  In the past only property owners were allowed to vote.  This was a clear case of disenfranchising voters, because it kept the poor from voting.  Requiring identification to vote does not keep someone from voting.  In many aspects of life picture I.D. is a requirement.  Should you wish to exercise your legal ability to purchase alcohol, you must prove two things.  That you are of legal age, and that you are the person in the picture, to avoid someone else using your I.D..  There are many other times in life that the law requires you to provide proof of your identity, such as driving a vehicle, voting in union elections, visiting the NAACP speeches, conventions, presidential functions, the first lady's book signing, and gaining lawful employment.  How does this limit your rights?  How is it some sort of discrimination to require I.D. to vote, but it is not discriminatory when police officer asks you to provide proof you are legal to operate a motor vehicle, during a traffic stop?
I find it interesting that the same people who oppose photo identification for voting purposes, but require the same photo identification to attend their functions.  What we are seeing is nothing more than an attempt to perpetuate the same old corrupt voting practices that have been going on for years.  Requiring photo identification to vote only prevents illegal immigrants, dead people, pets, and those duplicate voters from casting illegal ballots.  But in today's climate I think that this makes me a racist right?

Back to the grind!

Well we had a very nice vacation up in Pensylvania.  We stayed with my wife's Aunt, went to the zoo, had a few "pick-nicks" with my father-in-law.  Over all it was a great time.  Now we are back to the normal routine.  Back to keeping the house clean, back to work, and back to life.

While we were in PA a few things happened in the world that put a bit of fear into me.  Fear for my family and our way of life.  Flash mobs in Philadelphia, race beatings out west, and people rioting in London and surrounding areas.  The state of the economy, the useless officials we elected into office, they are doing nothing to combat the state of unrest that we are starting to experience.  It is only going to get worse.  As spending on entitlements become unavailable, or reduced, and when Obama is elected out of office, the idiots that are causing all of this strife, will gather more like minded people and I predict more and more of these attacks.  I think that it is time for the American population to take whatever measures necessary in order to protect themselves, their property, and their families.
The current ruler to the United States is only making this worse.  By allowing those goons from the New Black Panther Party to escape justice for their terrorist acts, he has set a precedent.  Now what happens?  Out in the mid-west, there are groups of black males, targeting white families leaving the fair, and badly beating them.  This is a hate crime.  As of this moment I have not heard anything else about how they are going to handle this travesty.  All I can say is that if this scenario were reversed the twin nutters Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton would be calling for someones head on a platter.  This is what I want to see now.  I want these radical, extremest, hate group members to be punished to the fullest extent of the law.  Nothing short of their long term confinement in prison will make me satisfied. The same goes for the ones doing the same thing in Philadelphia.  We have got to get a handle on this as soon as possible, before our entire nation goes up in smoke.

Welfare

In this country the "poor" are not so poor.  All the time I see people in the grocery store using that EBT card to buy junk.  These people have an average grocery budget of more than $500 a month.  Why?  It doesn't cost that much to feed a family of 4 even in this economy.  I work my tail off so that I can provide for my family and keep them off of welfare.  Because of this my wife has $400 a month to get all of the groceries and household items that we will need for the entire month.  Yet the president wants to keep on granting these people more and more benefits.  What is the incentive to work?  If I were to lose my job, the government would take care of me and my family.  They would provide my family medical insurance, money to pay my bills (including cable, Internet and telephone), a cell phone, keep my car in gas, food stamps, and assistance for my rent.  Why do I even work?  I do it because I have self respect.  I feel it is my responsibility to provide for my family not the government's.
Here is my problem.  The elected officials we have in office right now keep saying that to reduce benefits to welfare recipients is racist and punishes the minorities.  This is not true.  These people need an incentive to work, and to provide for their families.  In essence if it is punishment, it is punishment for the lazy people out there that don't want to provide for their own way of life.  If it is the minorities that are the only ones doing this (and it is not) then it is their own fault.  The government has no business providing them a life where they get "all the nice things".  The government has to "provide for the public defense, and provide for the general welfare. . . "  and this does not include x-boxes, cellphones and cable TV.
This is just my take on things.  Obviously I am not the only one that thinks this way.  If enough of us banded together then there would be some change.  The real Hope and Change the American people need and want.

It's been awhile....

It's been awhile since I wrote in here.  I know I should keep up with it but I have been very busy lately.  I started back to school and that tends to take up a fair amount of my time.  I am working on getting my BA in Criminal Justice with a Corrections management specialization.  Should help me have a bit more flexibility in my career.  Guess we will have to wait and see.  I have a good bit to go still yet.

Unions

Well I have a few thoughts about unions.  Unions are great if they serve their purpose, but most never remain that way.  Unions were started to protect the rights of workers, but in this day and age the Labor Board is tasked with just that.  So what are the unions doing?  Take WI for example.  The union there is up in arms because the government wants to take away the teacher's collective barganing "rights".  More specifically the teachers are being told that, like other states, that they will have to pay into their retirement, and health insurance.  Is this so bad?  In the private sector the vast majority of workers have to do just that.  If I am wrong please give me some facts so that I can correct myself.  The simple act of paying a small percentage of your wages to support yourself in retirement can save thousands of dollars on a state budget per year.  Here are some simple numbers.

40,000 teachers paying $1, yes I said One dollar, per month towards retirement essentially saves the state $40,000 a month on retirement costs. That is $480,000 per year.  This isn't rocket science.  So now you up those numbers to roghly 6%.  We will just say that the average teachers sallery is $32,994.11 per year, just throwing a number out there.  That is roughly $1,979.70 per year per employee paid into retirement.  Multiply that by the 40,000 state employees. That is a staggering $79,188,000 per year saved by the state government.  That $1979.70 would be pre tax of course and doesn't take into consideration other deductions.  Now can any teacher out there tell me that roughly $2,000 per year will break your bank?

Mornin

Well still no word fron the NAACP.  I suppose that I shouldn't hold my breath waiting to hear from them.  I'm sitting here waiting to go to an appointment, and listening to Neil Bortz.  You guys should really listen to this guy.  I haven't found anything he says to not make sense.  You can listen to him live here on WSB out of Atlanta.

I'll be back on later, after my appointment.  Should have something interesting to post about...but then again you never know about me.

Long time since I posted....

I know it has been a long time since I posted but here we go.  Can someone out there please tell me why the NAACP is so hell bent on saying that the Tea Party is nothing but racist?  They have used the race card for so long that it has lost all of it's effect.  Here is my take on this.  The NAACP is what is wrong with this country.  If it wern't for people like them I think there wouldn't be nearly as many race issues.  What is the mission of the NAACP?  Here it is taken directly from their website.

So here it is with my take on it written in red.

The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.

Vision Statement

The vision of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights without discrimination based on race. If this is what they are all about then why do we have these pople outand about spewing hate filled speech?  With everything that is out there regarding them, and their acts, it seems to me that they are propagating racism just so they have a purpose out there.

Objectives

The following statement of objectives is found on the first page of the NAACP Constitution - the principal objectives of the Association shall be:

•To ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of all citizens See above.  Self preservation seems to be their goal...and why not?  The monetary contributions keep them all living pretty well off.

•To achieve equality of rights and eliminate race prejudice among the citizens of the United States How can we achieve equality when there are people out there that belong to this organization beeding hate and racial prejudice?

•To remove all barriers of racial discrimination through democratic processes I am not even going to comment on this one.  See anti Tea Party propaganda.

•To seek enactment and enforcement of federal, state, and local laws securing civil rights Seems like this one is being done.

•To inform the public of the adverse effects of racial discrimination and to seek its elimination You can not preach on the adverse effects when you are posting things like this on your website.  In August 2009 the state successfully passed the Racial Justice Act allows a defendant facing a capital trial or an inmate sentenced to death to use evidence showing a pattern of racial disparity as a way of challenging racial injustice in the death penalty. All this does is to allow criminals a loop-hole to get out of the crimes they commit by saying that they commited the crime only because they have been discriminated against.

•To educate persons as to their constitutional rights and to take all lawful action to secure the exercise thereof, and to take any other lawful action in furtherance of these objectives, consistent with the NAACP's Articles of Incorporation and this Constitution. Again see their "Victories page".  They are saying that the new health care deform plan forced upon the American public was ensuring that health care is a civil right.  How?  Where in the United States Constitution does it say anything about healthcare.  Just wait and see....there will be many problems that arise when this sad excuse for a law comes into full swing.  Do you think that it is a coincidence that it takes effect in 2014.....2 years after Obama's first term is over?  I don't think so.

I plan on sending a copy of this to the NAACP and see what kind of response that I get....I'll post it here.
